Ms. Laughter is an accomplished experience insights strategist at Clayton, a Tennessee-based real estate company, where she has been making significant contributions since 2022. In her role, she manages customer listening programs to ensure smooth operations, conducts projects to improve response rates, and oversees experience research design, execution, and insights communications. Ms. Laughter’s focus on experience strategy and development has been instrumental in driving meaningful change within the organization.

Before her current position, Ms. Laughter was a research analyst at AlphaBrook in 2022. During her time in the role, she honed her research, development and analysis skills. While in college, Ms. Laughter garnered experience as a graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee Knoxville from 2021 to 2022 and as a graduate teaching assistant between 2020 and 2021. These roles allowed her to develop a strong foundation in academic research and teaching methodologies.

Ms. Laughter’s education includes a dual Bachelor of Arts in sociology and religious studies in 2020 and a Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2022. Her academic achievements have been complemented by several certifications and the completion of the social and behavioral responsible conduct of research course through the CITI Program.

Ms. Laughter is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Tennessee Speech and Debate Society, The University of Tennessee Knoxville Professional Education Course Advisory Board, and the Blount County Young Professionals Association. Her extracurricular involvement extends to civic-minded organizations, such as the Women’s Coordinating Council, and volunteering with Bridge Refugee Services. Additionally, Ms. Laughter has contributed her expertise by authoring research on cultural competency and educational methods in study abroad since 2019 and as a co-contributor to Clayton Voice of the Customer since 2022.

Throughout her career, Ms. Laughter has been recognized for her innovative approach to survey development. She is most proud of creating practical and insightful surveys that have filled a crucial gap in understanding customer feedback connections to internal processes. Ms. Laughter’s work has been well-received by the field, increasing support for plans for additional cornerstone moment surveys based on positive feedback.

Ms. Laughter’s contributions have earned her numerous awards, including a Chancellor’s Citation for Extraordinary Professional Promise from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2019 and the Eureka Social Science Division Award of Excellence in 2020. She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her family and the kindness of individuals who have given her opportunities throughout her journey.

Currently advocating for significant transformation and expansion in her department, Ms. Laughter envisions herself taking on a leadership role in guiding research teams and engaging with experts in specialized fields. As a lifelong learner, she is keen on pursuing various research, communication and development opportunities to grow and expand her skills while progressing in her role at Clayton.
