Stradley Ronon Welcomes Matthew Sadofsky As Capital Markets Partner in New York
Matthew Sadofsky
Adding strength to the firm’s corporate practice, Matthew Sadofsky has joined Stradley Ronon as a partner in New York. Arriving from Ropes & Gray, Matt bolsters the firm’s capital markets and corporate finance service offerings to public and private companies, investment banks, institutional investors, and other financial services clients.
“Matt’s deep understanding of both traditional corporate securities and specialized fund structures will add tremendous value to our clients in a key financial market,” said Caroline Gorman, partner and chair of the firm’s corporate department. “His practical, business-oriented approach — particularly informed by his time spent in-house at one of the world’s largest asset managers — provides our clients with trusted counsel informed by a true understanding of their operational realities and strategic objectives.”
With nearly 20 years of experience, Matt’s capital markets practice encompasses the full spectrum of public and private offerings, including initial public offerings; follow-on equity, preferred stock and convertible notes offerings; at-the-market offerings; private investments in public equity (PIPEs) and registered/unregistered senior investment-grade and high-yield and subordinated debt; acquisition financing; and related private equity transactions.
Matt is particularly well-versed in advising private, emerging and public company issuers and financial institutions in securities and regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters. He also counsels business development companies (BDCs), registered funds, and closed-end funds on Securities Act of 1933, Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 and Investment Company Act of 1940 regulatory compliance and corporate governance and fund transactions.
“The capital markets space is constantly evolving — shaped by regulatory changes, economic growth and technological advancements,” Matt said. “I bring a deep understanding of these financial and legal principles to each strategic transaction, and I’m excited to build on that foundation at the firm.”
Matt’s arrival follows recent additions in the firm’s New York office, including investment management and broker-dealer counsel Susan Sidd in May, structured finance and securitization partner Paul Cuccurullo in February, both who served in in-house roles, and a registered funds trio in October 2024.
