Williams’ Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Government Affairs, Ruth Ann Davis, to Retire

COLTON, California — Ruth Ann Davis, vice president of sales, marketing, and government affairs at Williams, has announced her retirement effective March 1, 2026.

Davis joined Williams in 1991 as district sales manager, covering the territory from Santa Barbara to San Diego. After expanded responsibilities in sales and marketing, she was named vice president in 2019.

Throughout her career, Davis has worked for companies that manufacture engineered products based on customer specifications, collaborating with building owners, architects, engineers, and reps to establish the design basis for projects. She has had the privilege of consulting on iconic projects such as the White House, Library of Congress, Smithsonian, Disney, Air Force One, Marriott and Ritz Resorts, and the Steinway Tower, the world’s thinnest skyscraper and New York’s third-tallest building. She has championed research projects with SoCalGas, Gas Technology Institute, and Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory.

Davis is passionate about advancing the HVACR industry through advocacy and leadership. She has proudly served and led on boards and committees for HARDI, AHRI, HRAI, WHPA, and Women in HVACR. Each year, she has joined industry leaders on Capitol Hill and in Sacramento to champion policies and research that drive innovation and efficiency.

“Ruth Ann has been a tremendous asset to our organization,” said Jim McTaggart, president and general manager at Willams. “Her ability to handle change with enthusiasm, lead, and cultivate relationships with employees, customers, and industry leaders has made her the overall face of Williams. While we wish her much happiness, we are sorry to see her go.”

“My greatest reward is building lasting relationships — with customers, colleagues, and industry partners — and contributing to the transformation of our industry,” said Davis. “With over three decades of experience in engineered products and HVACR innovation, I’ve built a career rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and customer-centric solutions. Whether traveling globally or engaging locally, I’m committed to making a meaningful impact through service and leadership.”

Before joining Williams, Davis worked in manufacturing operations at The Knox Company in Newport Beach, California, and the Rochester Corporation in Culpeper, Virginia.
